God's message for today.

Every Sunday we go to Church. (well 98% of the time anyway.) And today's message from the Lord was to tell us he never forgets us. He is always there with us even when we forget about him. One of my favorite poems to back up this message is Footprints in the Sand.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

Recently I had to remind myself of this poem and rely on my faith to get us through the trying time of Layoffs at Stephen's work. I knew that through prayers, faith and support from good friends and family we would make it through no matter what the outcome. I knew that God wouldn't forget about us and that no matter what, he had what was best for us in mind. So, to all of you out there, no matter what your faith, religion, beliefs, God is there with you. He is there to help you, keep you safe, and protect you. God Bless everyone!!!!
